The theory of elastic shells is one of the most important branches of the theory of elasticity. Among all the shell models, a classical and widely recognized model is the Koiter model. In this talk, we discuss the time-dependent Koiter model, which has not been addressed numerically. We show that the solution of the model exists and is unique. We provide the numerical scheme for the model. The corresponding analyses of existence, uniqueness, stability, convergence and a priori error estimate are given. Several numerical experiments with several kinds of shells, including the applications to the fields of biomedical and civil engineering, demonstrate the efficiency of the model.

沈晓芹,西安理工大学副教授、硕士生导师,陕西省青年科技新星,瑞士洛桑联邦理工学院(EPFL)访问学者,美国数学会《Mathematical Reviews》评论员。主要研究方向:弹性壳体数学模型、数值计算及其应用。先后主持国家自然科学基金3项,主持省部级、厅局级项目6项。目前已在国际国内等重要学术期刊发表学术论文20余篇。以第一发明人授权中国发明专利5项、授权国际发明专利5项。
