Abstract:
We formulate homogeneous and stage-structured models for the interactive wild mosquitoes and paratransgenic mosquitoes carrying genetically-modified bacteria which are resistant to malaria transmissions. With appropriate transformations, we establish conditions for the existence and stability of the equilibria for the model systems and provide numerical examples to demonstrate our findings. We then investigate how the bacteria uptake rate of wild mosquitoes and the bacteria loads of paratransgenic mosquitoes carrying affect their interactive

李佳教授主要从事于动力系统、微分方程、差分方程、数学建模、人口动力学、传染病动力学、数学生态学、数学传染病学及数学生态毒理学等方面的研究。在主要应用数学和生物数学杂志发表论文80多篇,获得多项美国国家科学基金项目,任 Mathematical Biology and Engineering、Journal of Biological Dynamics、Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science等杂志的编委。李佳教授多次组织和参与有关生物数学方面的国际学术会议,在国内外多所高校进行讲学,为生物数学的研究做出了重要贡献。是国际生物数学领域有影响的专家。
